Relaunch of a Shopify store

Your store is there and it sells. With an organic intervention it goes back to earning what it could, without stopping for a day.

Where you start

When a relaunch makes sense

Three signals we often hear in the discovery call.

01

It sells less than it could

The traffic is there, the orders are not: slow theme, confusing navigation, friction at checkout. These are the brakes the analysis finds first.

02

It has grown heavy over the years

Piled-up apps, layered changes, a theme nobody updates any more. Every change costs more than the last.

03

It has to open new fronts

Foreign markets, languages, B2B, AI assistants that recommend products: today's store is not ready, and there is no need to rebuild it from scratch.

The map

What changes with the relaunch

We keep what works, remove what weighs it down and add what is missing. All on the store you already have.

Item by item

What stays and what is redone

Redoing everything is not worth it: we act where the store loses sales and leave alone what works.

Stays

  • Domain and addresses: the URLs stay the same, and so does the ranking.
  • Catalog and history: products, orders and customers are not touched.
  • The integrations that work: ERP, invoicing and logistics stay connected.
  • The theme, if it holds up: it is updated, lightened and reorganised instead of replaced.
  • The apps that are needed: they stay, updated and well configured.
  • Reviews and content: what you have built over the years stays where it is.

Redone or removed

  • An old or heavy theme: we move to a premium 2.0 theme and carry over the design work that is worth keeping.
  • Duplicate or idle apps: removed one by one, with a check and a backup, or replaced by native features.
  • Navigation and collections: reorganised around how your customers search.
  • Checkout and conversion pages: fewer steps, less friction, more orders.
  • Tracking: GA4, pixels and server-side, checked before and after.
  • Content for search engines and AI assistants: structured data and a readable catalog, to be found and cited.

The path

How a relaunch unfolds

Five stages, on a store that keeps selling.

How a relaunch unfolds: from the store analysis to going live 01 Store analysis theme, catalog, checkout and data 02 Shared plan goals and tasks in the proposal 03 Work on the store theme, apps, tracking 04 Check together tests on a copy of the theme 05 Going live without stopping sales Then we measure: the relaunch opens the growth cycle, one month at a time.

The format

One project, or a path in modules

The analysis produces a plan. How to carry it out we decide together, based on urgency, budget and organisation.

As one project

A single project, with goals, tasks, publication date and price written in the proposal. It is the way when the store needs several interventions at once and a firm date.

In modules

The plan is split into interventions, each with a precise, measurable goal, carried out one at a time, also within the support packages. We start with what holds sales back the most and go on with the results in hand.

In both cases the relaunch is the way in for those whose store was built by others: ongoing support comes after, on a store we know. Discover consulting and support →

The precautions

The precautions that make the relaunch safe

They are the same in every relaunch, from the first day of work.

01

The store does not stop

We work on a copy of the theme and publish it at an agreed time. Sales continue for the whole duration of the work.

02

Rankings stay

The addresses do not change. When a page moves, a 301 redirect goes with it and we check it in Search Console.

03

Orders and customers are not touched

The relaunch works on theme, navigation, apps and configuration: the store's data stays intact.

04

Apps are removed with care

Before removing an app we check what it really does and export its data. Every step is reversible.

05

Tracking is verified

GA4, pixels and server-side conversions are checked before and after publication, with test orders.

06

The previous theme stays saved

A copy of the previous theme stays in the store: if needed, you go back with one click.

Timing and costs

How long, how much

Two things we tell you before starting, in writing, in the proposal.

Timing

30 to 90 days

  • The analysis opens the project in one or two weeks; then the work, according to the plan.
  • It depends on our workload at the time: we follow a few projects at once.
  • We set the publication date together, in the proposal.

Costs

Two project bands, with a detailed quote after the discovery call.

Startup
5 to 15 thousand euros
Migration, relaunch or new store built on the method we have refined over many years of eCommerce: the implementation strategy is proven and is not put back on the table.
Enterprise
20 to 40 thousand euros
For structured companies: strategy, mockups, brand identity and project documents are defined together, and the theme can change in depth.

Theme changes, even extensive ones, are included. Not included: the Shopify subscription and the apps, a theme built from scratch and custom integrations with your ERP, which we quote separately. See the Shopify plans →

Frequently asked questions

Answers to the most common questions about relaunching a Shopify store

These are the questions we hear in every first call, with the answers that hold for everyone. For your store, we talk it through calmly in the discovery call.

What is the relaunch of a Shopify store?
An organic intervention on the store you already have: a senior consultant's analysis, a shared plan and work on theme, catalog, navigation, checkout, apps, tracking, markets and languages. Not a cosmetic restyling: it starts from the data and the sales goals.
How much does a relaunch cost?
From 5 to 15 thousand euros in the Startup band, with the work built on our proven method; from 20 to 40 thousand euros in the Enterprise band, for structured companies that define strategy, mockups and brand identity with us. Theme changes are included; a theme from scratch and custom integrations with your ERP are quoted separately. The detailed quote comes after the discovery call.
How long does a relaunch take?
From 30 to 90 days. The analysis takes one or two weeks, then the work follows the plan. We set the publication date in the proposal.
Does the store stay online during the work?
Yes, always. We work on a copy of the theme and publish it at a time agreed with you. Orders, customers and catalog keep working as before.
Do I have to change theme?
Not necessarily. If the theme holds up, we update it and lighten it. If it is old or heavy, we move to a premium 2.0 theme and carry over the design work that is worth keeping. A theme built from scratch is quoted separately.
Will I lose my Google rankings?
No. The addresses stay the same. When a page moves, a 301 redirect goes with it and we check everything in Search Console in the following weeks.
What happens to the apps I use?
We review them one by one. The ones that are needed stay, the duplicate or idle ones go, some are replaced by native Shopify features. Every removal is checked and reversible.
A relaunch or ongoing support?
If another agency built the store we always start with the relaunch: first the analysis and the plan. Then the plan can become one project or a path in modules, with support interventions aimed at precise goals. Ongoing support comes after, on a store we know.
Does the relaunch cover foreign markets and B2B?
Yes, when they are part of the plan. Markets, languages and B2B price lists are native Shopify features on every plan: they are switched on and configured within the relaunch.
What happens after the relaunch?
We measure. The relaunch opens the growth cycle: every month data, a hypothesis, a test, an intervention. Or you choose ongoing consulting and support, with the same team.

To start

What we need from you

Four things, and the relaunch starts on the right foot.

  • Access to the store as a Shopify collaborator, and to Search Console and analytics
  • A contact person who decides and replies within a reasonable time
  • The list of the apps and integrations you really use
  • The goals: what has to improve and how we will measure it

Let's talk about your relaunch

A half-hour discovery call, with no strings: tell us about your store and we tell you what is holding it back.
