How to give collaborator access on Shopify

For Shopify store owners, it is important to be able to add agencies and collaborators. This is why collaborator accounts exist, allowing a Shopify Partner to gain access.

Steps to follow

1. The merchant sends the collaborator the "collaboration request code"
2. Using the received code, the collaborator can submit an access request to the store
3. The merchant approves the access request

Getting the code

For stores on Shopify Plus, Basic, Growth, and Advanced plans:

Go to Settings > Users > Security.

In the Store security area, click on the code to copy it or press Generate new code. There will be a different code for each store.

What to do next

• Sending the code: Send it via email, WhatsApp, or any preferred method.
• Approving the request: The code does not grant automatic access but only allows sending a request. The request arrives by email. Alternatively, go to Settings > Users, click on the partner's name, and then click "accept request".
